The gameplay itself comes from a mashup of NES(80s) lore. It includes 10 bases characters including Mario, Luigi, Link, Samus and others. Each base character also has other characters to play as. These include many characters such as Peach and Zelda, but also different versions of base characters with GB versions of Samus and Mario.
It also features separate weapons and rules for each character. Mega Man uses his power buster and Bill(Contra) still gets his spread shot while Simon uses his whip. Each character has different jumping abilities too, so be careful going over pits and killing turtles.
This is an older game originally made for web browsers by Exploding Rabbit. It has went through multiple versions throughout the years. While there are different versions around that allow you to play through web browsers or through Shockwave Flash files. I prefer to use a stand-alone executable(link included by NekoFatal).
